Which seasonal pages stay, and which go?

Review my seasonal pages

Paste a CSV or add rows · reasons in plain English · runs in your browser

When Halloween ends, and again once Black Friday has passed, list each seasonal URL once and the planner gives every page one of four verdicts: keep and refresh, retain as useful archive, redirect to a genuinely equivalent page, or review for removal. Each verdict comes with the reasoning behind it.

Your seasonal pages

One card per page, or paste a CSV. Every field except the address is optional, but more detail gives a sharper verdict. Your rows stay in this browser.

A season that ended before this date counts as over. Use 2026-12-01 to plan the Black Friday review.
Paste a CSV instead

Columns, in this order if there is no header row: page address, page purpose, season end, stock or offer status, evergreen value, known incoming links, closest replacement, next review date, replacement match. Commas, tabs and semicolons all work, and quoted fields may contain commas.

A verdict you can explain

Every page gets one of four outcomes and the rule that produced it, written in plain sentences. You can show a colleague or a client exactly why a page stays or goes.

1 Documentation: removing a page from results

Redirects only to the same job

A redirect is suggested only when you mark the replacement as equivalent. Sending a page to the home page, or to a page that does a different job, is flagged rather than recommended.

2 Documentation: mapping old addresses to replacements

Loops, chains and shared targets

Self-redirects, A to B to A loops, chains that should point straight at the final page, and several pages sharing one target are all checked across your whole list.

3 Documentation: redirects and search

A plan you can hand over

Each verdict comes with a tickable content checklist, a CSV for your spreadsheet and a print-ready action plan with a suggested next review date. The planner records decisions; making a redirect happens on your own site.

4 Decisions stay with you.

How a verdict is decided

  1. Season still ahead. If the season has not ended on your review date, the page is kept. The reasoning shows what the verdict would be the day after it ends, so you can prepare.
  2. Still selling, recurring or due back. A page whose stock or offer is still available, a recurring holiday page, or one due back next season stays on its address and gets refreshed.
  3. Strong lasting value. Content you rate as useful all year is kept, with the dated wording rewritten.
  4. Equivalent replacement. A redirect is recommended only when you mark the replacement as doing the same job and no loop, self-redirect or retiring replacement is found.
  5. Some lasting value, or known links. Without an equivalent replacement, a page with some lasting value, or with incoming links you know of, is retained as a labelled archive.
  6. Nothing keeps it alive. No lasting value, no equivalent replacement and no known links: the page is marked to review for removal, with the checks to run first.

The planner works only from the rows you enter: it does not visit your pages, so the facts about stock, links and similarity are yours to supply.
